WIRE ROD«Certain situations require a real live wire.»
Wire rod is a rolled product made from alloyed or unalloyed
steel with a round, square or other cross-section; it is
manufactured from semi-finished products, e.g. a bloom. Very
thin crosss-sections are achieved through subsequent cold
processing (pulling). Wire rod is wound into spirals and
transported in rings or coils.
Specification range: 5.5 – 50 mm |

Wire rod is used for a number of products. Depending on the
cold processing method employed, it is used to manufacture
steel cables, barbed wire, wire mesh, nails, springs, concrete
reinforcing mats and armouring wire. |
